Renovation of the Agiot Community Center

Built at the end of the 1970s, the Agiot Community Center underwent its first renovation in 2013. As the interior layout no longer meets current needs, our intervention focuses on updating the program and improving the building’s energy performance.

The main program spaces are located on the ground floor. The dance hall, multipurpose room, and cycling club clubhouse are arranged around the bar, the central feature of the hall.
The organically shaped bar, clad in wood, becomes a focal point that organizes the fluid circulation throughout the facility. The hall serves as a social hub and embodies the identity of the renovated community center.

On the upper floor, activity rooms and offices are arranged around a terrace. Their variable sizes allow for versatile uses.

Thermal comfort will be optimized as part of the building’s energy renovation. Similarly, acoustic comfort will receive careful attention.
